John 14:14

James 1; 2-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of any kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

For years now I have taught a class at my church where I have 6-8 year olds. There has been trials that have came along with this, but again the Bible has proven its self to be true to me as always.

There have been days that I have left my class and drove up in my driveway and cried. Cried from being so tired but with tears running down my face started laughing and had great joy that I have got to lead a child in the sinners prayer that night. I have left my class being upset with a childs behavior, but also left with compassion and love because I got to tell the child about a different life that God promises rather than the life their parents live.

The youth class has taught me to persevere, keep going, and stand strong that there will be good things to come. Last night as I taught my class with great joy and amazement I got to see the results of all the hard work and today I do feel complete in knowing that it is all worth it!

As we had class there were new children with new problems and as we talked about prayer and how important it is because God hears and answers our prayers I was able to start calling on kids that had been in the class for awhile and ask them what we prayed for in their lives, me not saying what it was, one would say We prayed that my mom would let me see my dad because I havent seen him in over a year and I said and did God answer your prayer and they said yes and Misty, I just spent a week with my dad. I asked the other child, what did we pray for you and the two sisters said for my dad to live in Texas with us I said, Did God answer your prayer? They said Yes I asked, Where does your dad live now? Texas they said with a big smile on their face. This went around the room with kids telling their answered prayers. As a result of this, prayer became our focus of the night and we asked God for a lot more answered prayers such as parents fighting, smoking, drug addiction and drinking.

I have applied this scripture to other areas of my life as well, such as my marriage and my work. Even though there are hard moments when I have stuck it out, prayed through the problem, the outcome has always had great rewards on the other side!

Please Join Us In Prayer

Last month in Texas Twister we asked for everyone to join us in prayer for baby Dylan who was born with lung problems and couldnt breathe on his own. I would like to share the report from baby Dylans grandmother (aka Aunt Pat).

Im so happy, Im about to burst, and Dylan and April are on their way home with a clean bill of health!! His tests are all backing to normal; all of his doctors pronounced him a healthy little boy. Just one day shy of 3 weeks.

Thank you for all of your prayers, because without all of you, I know this little boy wouldnt be where he is today, with his family.

So, thank you all, you will never know how much all your prayers meant to me and my family and we will never be able to thank you enough...

God Bless You ALL,
A Happy Nanna

Texas Twister would like to thank all that lifted up this sweet baby in prayer and we would also like to add a special thanks to our Father in Heaven.

Father God, you are worthy to be praised!

Thank you Father God for allowing us to come to you through Jesus our King! Thank you God for hearing our prayers and answering them just like your word says you will. Father God we are so thankful to you for healing baby Dylan and giving him a clean bill of health. It is overwhelming to know how much you love us, that you would reach down from Heaven and touch this baby. Thank you Father for leaving him with his family to love and rise. We are forever grateful to You God, forever and always.

If you have an answered prayer, please share it. I share mine because I want to share how real and how wonderful God is! Email it to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
